Womadelaide Festival

The WOMADelaide Music Festival, held in Adelaide, Australia is an annual three-day festival and celebration of music, arts and dance, now drawing crowds of almost 100,000 on-lookers and official and impromptu performers.

WOMADelaide (capitalised for World of Music, Arts and Dance) hosts 6 outdoor stages, performance and workshop galleries, a KidZone, street theatre, visual arts programs and a Global Village showcasing arts, crafts and educational displays.

The WOMADelaide Festival first began in 1992 as a bi-annual event, but due to its exceptional popularity the South Australian government has declared it to be an annual event on the Adelaide events calendar.
